Acute kidney injury(AKI)is a relatively common clinical condition in cats, with a mortality rate that can reach up to 50%and is associated with the extent of kidney damage. If diagnosed and treated promptly, feline AKI can be reversible and achieve a better prognosis. However, due to the unobtrusive symptoms of the disease, its short course, and rapid progression,it is easy to delay diagnosis and treatment, which affects the prognosis. This article reviews the research on the etiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment of feline AKI,aiming to provide a reference for its clinical management.
