Diagnosis and treatment of feline infectious peritonitis
Feline infectious peritonitis(FIP)is a chronic,wasting infectious disease in felines caused by the feline infectious peritonitis virus(FIPV),characterized by peritonitis,significant accumulation of abdominal effusion,and high mortality rates.FIP is divided into the effusive(wet)and non-effusive(dry)forms.In the early stages,it does not exhibit characteristic symptoms,only showing listlessness,reduced appetite,weight loss,intermittent fever,and mild respiratory symptoms in affected cats.This article records the diagnostic and treatment processes of two cases of feline infectious peritonitis,aiming to provide a reference for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of the disease.
