Epidemiological survey of six kinds of porcine diarrheal diseases in some areas of Henan Province in 2023
The aim of this study was to understand the prevalence of major diarrheal diseases in pigs in Henan Province.A total of 188 samples of diarrhea feces and intestinal contents were collected from pig farms in different areas of Henan Province from January 2023 to January 2024.The infection of porcine epidemic diarrhea virus(PEDV),transmissible gastroenteritis virus(TGEV),rotavirus(RV),porcine delta coronavirus(PDCoV),porcine kobuvirus(PKV)and porcine enterovirus type 9(PEV-9)was detected by RT-PCR.The results showed that the above six diseases were prevalent in Henan, and PEDV was the main epidemic.Among 188 samples, the positive rates of PEDV,TGEV,RV,PDCoV,PKV and PEV-9 were 55.32%,14.36%,26.06%,4.25%,39.36%,and 5.32%,respectively.The analysis of the mixed infection of pigs showed that the probability of double or even triple mixed infection of PEDV,RV and PKV was high. The positive rate of six swine diarrheal disease pathogens was higher in spring. The study indicated that PEDV,TGEV,RV,PDCoV,PKV,and PEV-9 were the main viruses causing porcine diarrhea in Henan, and mixed infection was common. It is necessary to further strengthen the pathogen surveillance and comprehensive prevention and control.
