Evaluation and analysis of immune effect of foot-and-mouth disease in cattle and sheep in Weinan city
In order to understand and grasp the immune effect and epidemic status of foot-and-mouth disease serotype O in cattle and sheep under the jurisdiction of Weinan city, samples of foot-and-mouth disease serotype O immune cattle and sheep in the city were investigated from 2020 to 2023,and liquid phase blocking ELISA and fluorescent RT-PCR detection methods were used for detection. The results showed that the average positive rate of foot-and-mouth disease serotype O antibody in cattle and sheep in Weinan city was 85.72%and 75.25%,respectively.No foot-and-mouth disease virus serotype O was detected in 325 coesophagopharyngeal secretions(OP fluid)by fluorescent RT-PCR.The positive rates of FMD O antibody in cattle and sheep in different years were 86.16%,75.52%,83.97%,91.77%,and 74.92%,70.45%,72.94%,80.00%,respectively.The positive rates of immune antibody were 89.33%and 86.79%in small and medium-sized farms,87.01%and 77.73%in free-range farms. The positive rates of foot-and-mouth disease serotype O antibody in cattle and sheep in different regions were 70.30%~96.36%and 66.36%~87.39%,respectively.Studies have shown that in recent years, the immune effect of foot-and-mouth disease serotype O in cattle and sheep in Weinan city is generally good, and no foot-and-mouth disease virus serotype O has been detected in suspicious animal samples, and the immune effect of cattle and sheep in some areas is poor, which should be paid great attention to and the compulsory immunization program should be strictly implemented to provide a guarantee basis for scientific and healthy breeding.
