Research progress and application prospect of pluripotent stem cells in sheep and goats
Pluripotent stem cells can proliferate indefinitely and generate various cells in three layers through differentiation,so they are widely used in research of regenerative medicine,disease modeling.Sheep and goat pluripotent stem cells have multidirectional differentiation potential and high cell proliferation rate.Therefore,the breeding time of sheep can be greatly shortened by using pluripotent stem cell breeding technology,so as to achieve the purpose of producing high-quality and high-yield sheep breeds.This paper summarized the research progress of embryonic stem cells and induced pluripotent stem cells of sheep and goats,and prospected the application prospect of pluripotent stem cells of sheep and goats in basic biological research,animal genetic breeding,medical disease modeling and other fields in recent years,in order to provide reference for the research of sheep breeding.
