Portulaca oleracea L.is a plant of the Portulaca family,also known as Diqian and duckplantgrass.It has the biological functions of clearing heat and detoxifying,anti-inflammation,anti-oxidation and regulating blood sugar and lipids.It is a medicinal plant with rich nutrients and a variety of biological activities.Portulaca oleracea L.contains a variety of alkaloids,polysaccharides and flavonoids,which have good biological functions such as anti-inflammation,anti-bacteria,anti-tumor,anti-oxidation,regulating blood sugar and lipids.In this paper,the main active components and pharmacological effects of Portulaca oleracea L.were reviewed,the current application of Portulaca oleracea L.in animal husbandry was described,and the future application of Portulaca oleracea L.in animal husbandry and clinical medicine was prospected.
