Isolation, identification and drug sensitivity analysis of Streptococcus agalactiae from a cattle farm
The aim of this study was to confirm suspected cases of Streptococcus agalactiae infection in a large-scale farm, and to provide a scientific and reasonable comprehensive prevention and control program for the farm.In this experiment, six milk samples collected from different fields were isolated and cultured. The isolates were isolated and identified by morphological observation,PCR identification and physiological and biochemical characteristics identification, and drug sensitivity test was conducted. The results showed that six strains of Streptococcus agalactiae were successfully isolated, and the isolates were highly sensitive to amoxicillin, norfloxacin, ciprofloxacin, vancomycin and other antibiotics. The study showed that Streptococcus agalactiae was identified as the cause of clinical mastitis in dairy cows through the isolation and identification of pathogenic bacteria and drug sensitivity test.According to the results of drug sensitivity test, more than three kind of antibiotics sensitive to the isolates were selected for alternate treatment, and a series of comprehensive prevention and control measures were taken to achieve good prevention and control effects.
