Streptococcus suis disease is an important zoonotic disease,mainly affecting pigs,but also can infect other animals and humans.This article reviewed the research progress of diagnosis and control strategy of Streptococcus suis disease,among which the application of molecular biology technology has significantly improved the accuracy and efficiency of diagnosis.The development of new vaccines provides a powerful tool for disease prevention.In the face of the increasingly serious problem of drug resistance,the development of new antibacterial drugs and Chinese herbal preparations has opened up a new way for drug prevention and control.This paper aims to provide a reference for prevention and control of Streptococcus suis disease and promote the healthy development of pig industry.
