Research progress on frailty in elderly stroke patients
Stroke is one of the common cerebrovascular diseases in the elderly.Weakness refers to a gradual decline in the physiological system related to age, leading to a decrease in internal capacity reserves and an increase in susceptibili-ty to stressors. As age increases, the incidence of frailty gradually increases, and elderly stroke patients are more prone to frailty due to disease characteristics, which leads to a series of adverse outcomes and increases the disease burden.There-fore,this article reviewed the current situation, assessment tools, impact and intervention measures of frailty in elderly stroke patients, with the aim of provided reference for clinical workers to develop reasonable and effective frailty assess-ment and intervention plans, and constructed a high-quality and high-level frailty management system for elderly stroke pa-tients.
