Investigation and analysis of frailty status and influencing factors of elderly people in Urumqi community
Objective To explore the status quo of frailty of elderly people in community and its influencing factors.Methods A total of 223 elderly patients in Shuimogou District of Urumqi,Xinjiang were selected by convenience sam-pling method.Basic information questionnaire,ADLs scale,MMSE scale,GDS-15 scale,SSRS scale and SF-36 scale were used for questionnaire investigation.Univariate analysis and binary logistic regression were used to analyze the influ-encing factors of senile patients.Results The incidence of frailty was 12.11%(27/223).The results of univariate analy-sis showed that there were significant differences in age,family income,payment method of medical expenses,diseases type,SSRS score,GDS-15 score and emotional function and social function scores in SF-36 scale between frailty and non-frailty patients(all P<0.05).Binary logistic regression analysis showed that age,disease type(≥2 kinds)and depression were risk factors for frailty(all P<0.05).Family income(≥2 000 yuan),medical insurance,social support(objective support,subjective support and utilization of social support),emotional function and social function were the protective factors(all P<0.05).Conclusions The incidence of frailty in the elderly in Urumqi community is high.Age,disease type,depression,family income,medical insurance,social support,emotional function and social function are the influ-encing factors.
