The progress of diffusion-kurtosis imaging in the assessment of nervous system diseases
The nervous system plays a pivotal role in the regulation of human body functions, with each part regulating and controlling the overall activities and metabolism of the body.It is the most complex and vital component of the human body.Lesions in the nervous system are diverse and complex, with even minor ones having significant impacts.Diffusion kurtosis imaging(DKI)can detect early changes in the microstructure of brain tissue in these diseases, offering new possi-bilities for early diagnosis and monitoring of treatment effects. This article aims to review the application progress of DKI in cerebral infarction,Parkinson's disease, epilepsy,Alzheimer's disease, and glioma.
