Research progress of kinesophobia in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Exercise training plays a crucial role in the treatment and self-management of patients with chronic obstruc-tive pulmonary disease(COPD).However,COPD patients have a fear of exercise due to the discomfortable experience during physical activity, such as breathlessness, pain and fatigue.Prolonged kinesophobia can lead to a decrease in physi-cal activity and quality of life, and may even increase the rates of readmission, disability, and mortality among patients. This article reviews the research progress on kinesophobia in COPD patients, covering various aspects including the cur-rent state of research, assessment tools, influencing factors, and intervention strategies. The aims to provide references and insights for related research on kinesophobia in COPD patients in China, with the goal of improving lung rehabilitation outcomes for these patients.
