Application of multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment mode in prevention and management of incontinence dermatitis in eld-erly patients in department of neurology
Objective To explore the application of multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment(MDT)mode in preven-tion and management of incontinence dermatitis(IAD)in elderly patients in department of neurology. Methods 64 elderly in-continence patients admitted to the Department of Neurology of Huadong Hospital from May 2021 to April 2022 were selected as the study subjects. They were divided into observation group and control group by convenient sampling method, with 32 ca-ses in each group. The control group received routine nursing, and the observation group received MDT mode management on the basis of the same treatment as the control group. The incidence of IAD and the scores of PAT,IADS,NRS2002 and ICI-Q-LF were compared between the two groups. Results After intervention, the incidence of IAD in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(5% vs 15% )(P<0.05);the scores of PAT,IADS and ICI-Q-LF of the ob-servation group were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).After the intervention, the NRS2002 scores of both groups gradually decreased, and the score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group[(2.14±0.48)pointsvs(2.76±0.47)points](P<0.05).Conclusion The application of MDT mode in elderly incontinence patients in the department of neurology may effectively reduce the occurrence of IAD,reduce the risk of malnutrition, and reduce the im-pact on patients'life, which has certain clinical application value.
