Observation on the effects of optimized process nursing intervention on the rehabilitation of elderly patients with craniocerebral injury
Objective To observe the effects of optimized process nursing intervention on the rehabilitation of elderly patients with craniocerebral injury, and provide a method for the treatment of this disease. Methods 83 elderly patients with moderate-to-severe craniocerebral injury admitted to Department of Neurosurgery,Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Qi-dong City from January 2022 to July 2023 were selected. They were divided into process intervention group(n =41)and con-ventional group(n =42)according to random envelope method. Both groups received the same basic treatment.Besides, the process intervention group received optimized process nursing intervention, while the conventional group received conventional nursing. Both groups received continuous intervention for 3 months. The living ability score, physical activity score, the inde-xes of rehabilitation progress and the incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results After inter-vention,the scores of Barthel Index and Fugl-Meyer Motor Function Scale of the process intervention group were higher than those of the conventional group;the time to get out of bed for the first time, mechanical ventilation time, coma time, length of hospital stay, and hospitalization costs were all shorter or less than those of the conventional group. The total incidence of com-plications in the process intervention group was lower than that in the conventional group. The above differences between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The optimized process nursing intervention in the rehabilitation process of elderly patients with craniocerebral injury can promote the recovery of their daily living abilities, promote the rehabil-itation process, reduce the occurrence of complications, and has certain clinical application value.
