Effects of intervention mode guided by behavior change wheel on disease cognition and prognosis of elderly patients with pres-sure injury brought in outside hospital
Objective To observe the effects of intervention mode guided by behavior change wheel on disease cogni-tion and prognosis of elderly patients with pressure injury(pressure ulcer)brought in outside hospital. Methods A total of 66 patients with pressure ulcer brought in outside hospital admitted to Department of Medical Oncology,People's Hospital of Cang-zhou City from April 2022 to March 2023 were prospectively selected and divided into observation group(33 cases)and control group(33 cases)according to the random number table method. The control group received routine health education interven-tion after treatment, and the observation group adopted the intervention mode guided by behavior change wheel. The two groups were followed up for 6 months, and the prognosis of the two groups was recorded and compared. Results After inter-vention,the scores of pressure ulcer cognition and General Self-Efficacy Scale(GSES)of both groups were higher than those of the same group before intervention, and the improvement amplitude of the observation group was greater than that of the con-trol group(P<0.05).The follow-up outside the hospital showed that the injury healing time and the incidence of new pressure ulcer in the observation group were shorter or lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of the intervention mode guided by behavior change wheel in elderly patients with pressure ulcer can improve their pressure ulcer cognition, regulate their self-care behavior, and improve their self-efficacy and prognosis.
