Effects of combination of butylphthalide and ozagrel on neurological function,inflammatory factors,and prognosis in elderly patients with acute cerebral infarction
Objective To study the effects of butylphthalide combined with ozagrel on neurological function,inflamma-tory factors and prognosis in elderly patients with acute cerebral infarction(ACI).Methods The data of 120 ACI patients who received treatment in Department of Neurology,Anqing First People's Hospital Affiliated to Anhui Medical University from October 2020 to October 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.After receiving routine treatment,all patients were divided into two groups according to different medication regimens.The control group(n =58)was given intravenous injection of oza-gre,and the observation group(n =62)was given butylphthalide injection on the basis of the control group.The therapeutic ef-ficacy,the levels of neuron-specific enolase(NSE),glial fibrinoacidic protein(GFAP),central nervous specific protein β(S100β),human plasma lipoprotein phospholipase A2(Lp-PLA2),interleukin-6(IL-6),and the scores of Barthel Index(BI)and modified Rankin Scale(mRS)before and after treatment,as well as the incidence of adverse reactions were com-pared between the two groups.Results The therapeutic efficacy of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(87.10%vs70.69%,P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of brain injury markers(NSE,GFAP,S100β)and in-flammatory factors(Lp-PLA2 and IL-6)and mRS scores in both groups were decreased compared with before treatment,and the observation group was significantly lower than the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,BI score was higher than that of the same group before treatment,and the observation group was significantly higher than the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the observation group and the control group(11.29%vs8.62%,P>0.05).Conclusion The combination of butylphthalide and ozagrel has a significant clinical effect in the treatment of ACI patients.It can alleviate the neurological function damage and inflammatory response of patients,and is conducive to the prognosis of patients.
