Efficacy of quadruple regimen of esomeprazole magnesium enteric-coated tablets in the treatment of elderly patients with pep-tic ulcer bleeding and its effects on Hp clearance rate,gastrointestinal hormones and adverse reactions
Objective To explore the curative effects of a quadruple regimen of esomeprazole magnesium enteric-coated tablet in elderly patients with peptic ulcer bleeding(PUB).Methods The data of 180 elderly PUB patients admitted to Jiaozhou Central Hospital of Qingdao City from January 2019 to August 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.They were divided into observation group(n =92)and control group(n =88)according to different treatment methods.The control group re-ceived a quadruple regimen of ranitidine,while the observation group received a quadruple regimen of esomeprazole magnesium enteric-coated tablets.All were treated for 2 weeks.The efficacy,Hp clearance,symptom improvement,gastrointestinal hor-mones,inflammatory factors,adverse reactions and pharmacoeconomics of the two groups were observed and compared.Results After 2 weeks of treatment,the total effective rate and Hp clearance rate of the observation group were higher than those of the control group(P＜0.05);the frequency of black stool and hematemesis and the levels of GAS,TNF-α,IL-17 and IL-6 of the observation group were lower than those of the control group(P＜0.05),and the SS level was higher than that of the control group(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P＞0.05).The cost-effectiveness(C/E value)of treatment effectiveness of the observation group was lower than that of the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion The quadruple regimen of esomeprazole magnesium enteric-coated tablets has a defi-nite effect on the treatment of elderly PUB patients.It can promote Hp clearance rate,relieve symptoms and inflammatory re-sponse,regulate gastrointestinal hormones and has high pharmacoeconomics and certain clinical application value.
