Value of rehabilitation nursing based on empowerment-participation-cooperation concept in treatment of elderly patients with cerebral infarction
Objective To study the value of rehabilitation nursing based on empowerment-participation-cooperation concept in the treatment of elderly inpatients with cerebral infarction,and provide a method for treatment of the disease.Methods The study subjects were 320 elderly patients with cerebral infarction who received treatment in West China Hospital,Sichuan University from May 2022 to May 2023.They were divided into observation group(n=160)and control group(n=160)by randomized blind method.The patients in the control group received routine nursing intervention,while the patients in the observation group received rehabilitation nursing based on empowerment-participation-cooperation concept in addition to the routine nursing intervention as the control group.Both groups were intervened for 2 weeks.The fall prevention behavior,fall efficacy[assessed by the Modified Fall Efficacy Scale(MFES)],daily living ability[assessed by the Activities of Daily Liv-ing Scale(ADL)]and rehabilitation confidence[assessed by the Chinese Version of Confidence after Stroke Measure(CaSM)]were compared between the two groups.Results After intervention,the scores of fall prevention behavior scale of both groups were higher than those of the same group before intervention(P＜0.05),and the scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group(P＜0.05).The proportion of patients with sufficient confidence in the fall efficacy scale in both groups was higher than that in the same group before intervention(P＜0.05),and the proportion of patients with low fall efficacy was lower than that in the same group before intervention(P＜0.05);while the proportion of patients with suffi-cient confidence in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,and the proportion of patients with low fall ef-ficacy was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05).The proportion of patients with normal daily living ability in both groups was higher than that in the same group before intervention(P＜0.05),and the observation group was higher than the con-trol group(P＜0.05).The CaSM scores of both groups were higher than those of the same group before intervention(P＜0.05),and the observation group were higher than the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Rehabilitation nursing based on empowerment-participation-cooperation concept may improve the fall prevention behavior of elderly inpatients with cerebral in-farction,and enhance their fall efficacy,daily life ability and rehabilitation confidence.It has certain clinical application value.
