A study on influencing factors and intervention effects of mental resilience in elderly patients with severe pneumonia
Objective To analyze the influencing factors and intervention effects of mental resilience in elderly patients with severe pneumonia and observe the therapeutic effects of a new health management model intervention,so as to provide a basis for determining improvement plans for clinical patient prognosis. Methods A total of 105 elderly patients with severe pneumonia who were hospitalized in Beijing Chaoyang Hospital,Capital Medical University from January 2019 to February 2023 were prospectively selected. They were given questionnaires to assess their mental resilience scores.A total of 105 ques-tionnaires were sent out,and 98 valid questionnaires were collected, with an effective recovery rate of 93.33%.7 patients with invalid questionnaire were excluded, and the remaining 98 patients underwent further research.98 patients received health man-agement model intervention. From the 2nd day of admission, they received intervention for 2 weeks. Before and after interven-tion,Mental Resilience Scale was used to evaluate the mental resilience score of patients, and SF-36 Scale was used to evaluate the quality of life score of patients. Results The total score of the mental resilience scale of the patient was(68.19±11.26),which was above the medium level. The score of the self-improvement dimension was(27.37±5.01),the score of the optim-ism dimension was(7.13±1.25),and the score of the resilience dimension was(33.69±5.38).There were no significant differences in mental resilience scores of elderly patients with severe pneumonia in age, smoking history, drinking history,pul-monary operation history, marital status, type of medical insurance and course of disease(P>0.05),but there were signifi-cant differences in gender, education level and per capita monthly family income(P<0.05).Gender,education level and family per capita monthly income were the influencing factors of mental resilience in elderly patients with severe pneumonia(P<0.05).After intervention, the scores of mental resilience and quality of life in elderly patients with severe pneumonia were increased compared with those before intervention(P<0.05).Conclusion The mental resilience score of elderly pa-tients with severe pneumonia is above the average level.Gender, education level and per capita monthly family income are the main factors affecting the mental resilience score of patients.Individualized intervention programs based on the above factors can improve the mental state and quality of life of patients with severe pneumonia.
