Clinical analysis of magnesium aluminate carbonate combined with esomeprazole in the treatment of elderly patients with gas-tric ulcers
Objective To explore the effects of magnesium aluminum carbonate combined with esomeprazole in the treatment of elderly patients with gastric ulcer and its effects on serum hypersensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP),erythrocyte deposition rate(ESR),D-dimer(D-D)and ulcer healing rate,so as to provide a method for the treatment of this disease. Methods 104 elderly patients with gastric ulcer treated in Central Hospital of Suining City from July 2020 to June 2023 were selected and divided into single drug group(treated with esomeprazole)and combined group(treated with magnesium alumi-num carbonate combined with esomeprazole)by the random number table method, with 52 cases in each group. Both groups were treated for 4 weeks. The improvement time of clinical symptoms and ulcer healing conditions were compared between the two groups. The levels of serum factors(hs-CRP,ESR,D-D),gastrointestinal related indicators[gastrin(GAS),motilin(MTL),endothelin-1(ET-1)]and oxidative stress indicators[malondialdehyde(MDA),superoxide dismutase(SOD)]be-fore treatment and after 4 weeks of treatment were compared between the two groups. Results After 4 weeks of treatment, the improvement times of upper abdominal pain, abdominal distension, acid reflux and belching in the combined group were shorter than those in the single drug group(all P<0.05).The ulcer healing rate in the combined group was higher than that in the sin-gle drug group(P<0.05).The ulcer healing indicators(ulcer,thick-coated bottom area, surrounding regrowth epithelium ar-ea,surrounding mucosal congestion area),serum factors(hs-CRP,ESR,D-D),gastrointestinal related indicators(GAS,MTL,ET-1)and MDA in the two groups were lower than those of the same group before treatment, and the above indicators in the combined group were lower than those in the single drug group(all P<0.05).The SOD levels in the two groups were higher than those of the same group before treatment, and the combined group was higher than the single drug group(all P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of magnesium aluminum carbonate combined with esomeprazole can effectively improve the clinical symptoms of elderly patients with gastric ulcer, promote the ulcer healing, relieve the inflammatory response and oxi-dative stress response, and improve the coagulation function and gastrointestinal function. It has certain clinical application value.
