Observation of regulation effects of intensive education based on Roy adaptation model on negative emotions and coping styles in elderly patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting
Objective To explore the regulation effects of intensive education based on Roy adaptation model on nega-tive emotions and coping styles in elderly patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting.Methods A total of 102 elderly patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting in Yantai Affiliated Hospital of Binzhou Medical College from January 2022 to January 2024 were enrolled as the study subjects.According to random number table method,they were divided into control group and observation group,with 51 cases in each group.Both groups received coronary artery bypass surgery after admis-sion.The control group received routine nursing care,while the observation group received intensive education based on Roy adaptation model on the same treatment as the control group.The anxiety and depression,self-management ability,self-effica-cy and coping style of the two groups were compared before and after intervention.The postoperative complications of the two groups were analyzed and compared.Results After intervention,the scores of Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS),avoidance and submission of the observation group were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05),and the scores of self-efficacy,self-management ability and facing were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in total incidence of postoperative complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Intensive education based on Roy adaptation model can alleviate the negative emotions of elderly patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting,improve their health management ability and disease coping style,and enhance their self-efficacy.
