Application effects of nutritional management during postoperative anastomotic fistula in elderly patients with esophageal cancer
Objective To explore the application effects of nutritional management during postoperative anastomotic fis-tula in elderly patients with esophageal cancer. Methods The clinical data of 110 elderly patients with anastomotic fistula after esophageal cancer surgery who were treated in First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University from June 2023 to June 2024 were retrospectively analyzed. They were divided into observation group(n=55)and control group(n=55)according to different intervention methods. The control group received routine nursing, and the observation group received nutrition man-agement.The changes of postoperative recovery indexes, nutritional indexes and quality of life before and after intervention were compared between the two groups. Results The anastomotic fistula healing time and hospital stay in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05).After intervention, the blood levels of TP,ALB,TF and PAB and the scores of each dimension of SF-36 scale in both groups were higher than those of the same group before intervention, and the observation group was higher than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The nutritional management can effec-tively improve the nutritional status of elderly patients with anastomotic fistula after esophageal cancer surgery, promote the healing of anastomotic fistula, and improve postoperative recovery and the quality of life of patients.
