Effects of specific respiratory training based on IKAP theory on lung rehabilitation compliance, hope level and lung function in elderly patients with lung cancer
Objective To explore the effects of specific respiratory training based on information-knowledge-attitude-practice(IKAP)theory on lung rehabilitation compliance, hope level and lung function in elderly patients with lung cancer. Methods 80 elderly patients with lung cancer admitted to Affiliated Cancer Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from April 2022 to April 2024 were retrospectively selected as the study subjects.According to different intervention methods, they were divided into control group(38 cases, routine respiratory training)and observation group(42 cases, special respiratory training based on IKAP theory). The rehabilitation compliance, hope level, lung function, incidence of complications and nursing sat-isfaction in the two groups were compared before and after intervention. Results After intervention, the rehabilitation compli-ance rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(90.48%vs71.05%,P<0.05),the scores of all dimensions of Chinese version of the Herth Hope Scale were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05),MVV,FEV1 and FVC were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05),the total incidence of complications was lower than that in the control group(7.14%vs 23.68%,P<0.05),and the nursing satisfaction rate was higher than that in the control group(100.00%vs 84.21%,P<0.05).Conclusion Specific respiratory training based on IKAP theory can improve hope level and rehabilitation compliance in elderly patients with lung cancer, and thus improve their lung function.
