A clinical study on combination of tanshinone and pregabalin capsule in treatment of postherpetic neuralgia in elderly patients
Objective To observe the clinical effects of tanshinone combined with pregabalin capsule on postherpetic neuralgia in elderly patients.Methods 96 elderly patients with postherpetic neuralgia who received treatment in Dermatology Clinic of People's Hospital of Haimen District from December 2022 to January 2024 were collected as research subjects.They were randomly divided into observation group and control group by digital table method,with 48 cases in each group.The con-trol group received mecobalamine tablet orally,1 tablet each time,3 times a day;pregabalin capsule,taken orally,1 capsule each time,twice a day.On the basis of treatment in the control group,the observation group was given oral tanshinone cap-sule,4 capsules each time,3 times a day.Both groups received treatment for 4 weeks.The visual analog scale(VAS)scores,Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)scores,Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA)scores and clinical efficacy of the two groups were compared before and after treatment.Results After treatment,the scores of VAS,PSQI and HAMA of the two groups decreased significantly,and the scores of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P＜0.05).The total effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(91％vs 75％,P＜0.05).Conclusion The clinical application of tanshinone capsule combined with pregabalin capsule has reliable therapeu-tic effects and complementary advantages of integration of traditional Chinese and Western medicine.Moreover,oral adminis-tration of traditional Chinese medicine is safe for the elderly.Therefore,it has certain clinical promotion value.
