Objective To investigate the effect of escitalopram oxalate in the treatment of somatoform disorder.Meth-ods Ninety-eight patients with somatoform disorder admitted to our hospital from December 2019 to December 2021 were selected and divided into an observation group(n=49)and a control group(n=49)according to random number table.The observation group was treated with escitalopram oxalate and the control group was treated with amitriptyline hydrochloride.Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA),Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD)and Health Questionnaire-15(PHQ-15)scales were used to compare the psychological and physical status of the two groups before treatment and 8 weeks after treatment,and then the effect and adverse drug reactions were compared between the two groups 8 weeks after treatment.Results The scores of HAMA,HAMD and PHQ-15 after treatment were lower than those before treatment,and the observation group was lower than the control group(P＜0.05).The overall response rate was higher in the observation group than in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Escitalopram oxalate is effective and safe in the treatment of somatoform disorder.
