Objective To analyze the MRI features of iron overload secondary to hemochromatosis, and to discuss its re-lationship with MRI T2*value.Methods Sixty patients with iron overload secondary to hemochromatosis and another 60 healthy individuals in our hospital from July 2021 to July 2022 were enrolled as observation group and control group. All subjects received MRI examination, and the clinical data was collected.Serum ferritin(SF)levels were detected, and the re-lationship of T2*values of organs with SF was discussed. Results T2*values of observation group yielded statistical difference in patients with different severity degrees of iron overload(P<0.05).T2*values of control group denoted no sta-tistical difference in individuals with different severity degrees of iron overload(P>0.05).Spearman correlation analysis found that SF levels were negatively correlated with T2*values(r=-0.314,P<0.001).Conclusion Patients with iron overload have decreased T2*values,and SF was inversely correlated with liver T2*.
