Objective To observe the clinical effect of the timing of antibiotic application in pregnant women with artifi-cial membrane rupture. Methods 82 pregnant women who underwent artificial membrane rupture at Ganzhou Maternal and Child Health Hospital from January 2021 to December 2022 were selected and randomly divided into two groups, with 41 cases in each group. Both groups underwent artificial membrane rupture treatment. The control group received antibiotic prophylactic treatment 6 hours after artificial membrane rupture, while the observation group received antibiotic prophylactic treatment im-mediately after artificial membrane rupture.Compare the adverse pregnancy outcomes and delivery methods between the two groups. Results The intrauterine infection rate in the observation group(9.76%)was lower than that in the control group(29.27%),with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05);There was no statistically significant difference in the rates of postpartum hemorrhage and neonatal asphyxia between the two groups(P>0.05);The cesarean section rate in the observation group(9.76%)was lower than that in the control group(29.27%),and the natural delivery rate(78.05%)was higher than that in the control group(56.10%),with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05);There was no statistically significant difference in vaginal delivery rates between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Immediate use of antibiotics for infection prevention and treatment in pregnant women after artificial rupture of membranes is effective, which is beneficial for reducing the rate of intrauterine infection and cesarean section, improving the success rate of natural delivery, and providing guidance for anti infection treatment in clinical artificial rupture of membranes for pregnant women.
