Objective To explore the efficacy of Nimotuzumab combined with IMRT in the treatment of elderly patients with locally advanced esophageal cancer.Methods In a retrospective study from January 2020 to December 2022 selected 76 cases of elderly patients with locally advanced esophageal cancer as the analysis object,according to the random number table method set two groups of 38 cases,the control group alone with IMRT treatment,the observation group on the basis of the former increase nituzumab treatment,compare the two groups of efficacy and long-term survival rate.Results After im-plementing different treatment measures,the curative effect of the control group was lower than that of the observation group,and the difference between the groups was significant(P＜0.05).The long-term survival rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,and the contrast between the groups was significantly different(P＜0.05).Conclusion Nimotuzumab combined with IMRT for elderly patients with locally advanced esophageal cancer has better curative effect and high long-term survival rate,which is beneficial to the prognosis and is worthy of promotion.
