Objective To discuss the clinical effect of different suture methods combined with laparoscopy in the treat-ment of uterine fibroids. Methods A total of 214 patients with uterine fibroids underwent laparoscopic myomectomy in our hospital from January 2020 to March 2022 were randomly assigned into two groups. In laparoscopic myomectomy, the wound was closed by means of baseball suture in observation group(n=118)and was by traditional continuous suture in control group(n=96).Then the intraoperative and postoperative indicators were compared between two groups. Results In terms of the intraoperative conditions, observation group had shorter operation time, less intraoperative blood loss and lower rate of suture site bleeding and re-suture than those of control group(P<0.05).From the aspects of postoperative indicators,ob-servation group had lower uterine incision hematoma rate, shorter length of stay, and smaller difference between pre-and postoperative hemoglobin than those of control group(P<0.05),and no statistical difference was found in postoperative in-fection rate between two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Compared with traditional continuous suture method, application of baseball suture in laparoscopic myomectomy has better efficacy and safety profiles, and it has the advantages of less intra-operative bleeding, shorter operative time and better prognosis, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
