Objective To study the influencing factors and control measures of unqualified microbial specimens in the laboratory of CDC.Methods The data of 435 patients who underwent microbiological examination in the Laboratory of Yucheng County Center for Disease Control and Prevention from January to December 2022 were retrospectively analyzed and divided into qualified group(n=415)and unqualified group(n=20)according to whether the specimens were quali-fied.The basic situation was analyzed, and the statistically significant factors were incorporated into the Logistic regression model to explore the influencing factors of unqualified specimens. Results Out of 435 patients,20(4.60%)had sub-standard specimens.Univariate and multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that incorrect specimen collection time, specimen contamination, late delivery time, incorrect specimen storage, and substandard skills of collection and testing per-sonnel could be independent risk factors for unqualified specimens(P<0.05).Conclusion In 2022,about 4.60%of the microbial test specimens in Yucheng County Center for Disease Control and Prevention were unqualified. The main influen-cing factors were incorrect collection time, sample contamination, late delivery time, incorrect storage methods of specimens, and substandard skills of collection personnel and testing personnel.Corresponding countermeasures could be taken to im-prove the qualified rate of specimens and improve the quality of microbial test.
