Primary Discussion of Association of Microecology and Tongue Coating
Tongue coating is made by the upwarding of spleen and stomach Qi as well as upwelling of gastric fluid,condensing on the surface of the tongue.Tongue coating,a layer of fur-like substance covering the surface of the tongue dorsum formed by castoff cells on the tongue dorsum,saliva,bacteria,food scraps and the white blood cells,has been filled up in the interstices of cornification tree of the filiform papillae.The change of the micro-ecological of the tongue dorsum is an important factor to affect the formation and change of the tongue coating and the study on the composition and the change rule of the micro-ecological of the tongue dorsum has important value in clarifying the formation mechanism of the tongue coating.This paper reviewed the base of two factors:one is the research methods of the micro-ecological of the tongue dorsum in recent years and the other one is the correlation between the research methods of the micro-ecological of the tongue dorsum and diseases in recent years.We hope to provide a basis for researching the change of the micro-ecological of the tongue dorsum and the correlation between the formation of the tongue coating and symptom-complex of traditional Chinese medicine as well as hope to provide new ideas and methods for the modern research of traditional Chinese medicine.
