Effects of Yiqi Yangyin Tongmai Decoction(益气养阴通脉汤)on TCM Syndrome,Left Ventricular Remodeling and Serum NT-proBNP in Patients with Chronic Heart Failure
Objective To explore the effects of Yiqyangyin Tongmai Decoction(益气养阴通脉汤)on TCM syndrome,left ventricular remodeling and serum N-terminal B-type natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP)in patients with chronic heart failure(CHF).Methods A hundred and eight patients with CHF were randomly selected from Qinhuangdao Hospital and divided into treatment group(55 cases)and control group(53 cases).The control group received conventional treatment,and the treatment group received Yiqi Yangyin Tongmai Decoction orally for 3 courses(12 weeks in total).The therapeutic effect,TCM syndrome scores of CHF,echocardiography and serum indexes[NT-proBNP,malondialdehyde(MDA),B-type natriuretic peptide(BNP)]of the two groups were compared,and the safety of the two schemes was compared.Results The total effective rate of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group(85.45％vs 67.92％)(P＜0.05),and there was no difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(10.91％vs 5.66％)(P＞0.05).After treatment,TCM syndrome scores and left ventricular end-systolic volume(LVESV)/left ventricular mass index(LVMI)in echocardiography of both groups were decreased,and the value of the left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)was increased.The TCM syndrome scores,the values of LVESV and LVMI in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and thev value of LVEF was higher than that in the control group(P＜0.05).Peripheral blood index detection showed that the levels of NT-proBNP,BNP and MDA were decreased in both groups after treatment,and the serum concentrations of NT-proBNP/BNP/MDA in the observation group were lower than those in the control group with statistical significance(P＜0.05).Conclusion Yiqi Yangyin Tongmai Decoction can improve the TCM syndrome of CHF patients,alleviate left ventricular remodeling and reduce the levels of serum NT-proBNP/MDA/BNP.It has certain clinical application value.
