Effects of Chlorophyll Derivatives on Pain Swelling and Wound Healing in Patients with Mixed Hemorrhoids after Surgery
Objective To explore the effects of phyllins on pain swelling, wound healing, vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)and basic fibroblast growth factor(bFGF)in patients after mixed hemorrhoid surgery. Methods A total of 102 patients with mixed hemorrhoids undergoing Milligan-Morgan surgery in Shijiazhuang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were en-rolled between April 2022 and April 2023.According to random number table method, they were divided into observation group and control group,51 cases in each group. The control group was given gauze with recombinant bovine basic fibroblast growth fac-tor for external use, while the observation group was given phyllins to cover the wound. The pain and swelling, wound healing time, changes in levels of serum tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6),interleukin-10(IL-10),VEGF and bFGF were compared between the two groups. The occurrence of adverse reactions in the two groups was recorded. Results The to-tal response rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(92.15%vs 76.47%,P<0.05).On 14 d after surgery, the scores of pain and edema in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The wound healing time, disappearance time of edema, pain and bleeding in the observation group were signifi-cantly shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05).After surgery, the levels of VEGF,bFGF and IL-10 in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05),while the levels of TNF-α and IL-6 were signifi-cantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse events be-tween the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Phyllins can relieve effectively pain and swelling in patients after mixed hemorrhoid surgery, regulate the levels of VEGF,bFGF and other cytokines and promote wound healing.
