Effect of Needle-Embedding at Erbai(EX-UE2)on Anal Pain and Defecation after Anal Fistula Surgery
Objective To observe the effect of needle-embedding at Erbai(EX-UE2)on anal pain and defecation after anal fistula surgery. Methods A total of 113 patients with anal fistula who were admitted to the Traditional Chinese Medicine Department of Proctology at Fangta Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Songjiang District from October 2022 to February 2023 were selected and randomly divided into the observation group(55 cases)and the control group(58 cases). The control group was treated with oral diosmin tablets and traditional Chinese medicine sitz bath, while the observation group was treated with needle-embedding at Erbai(EX-UE2)on the basis of the treatment of control group.Wound healing, postoperative wound pain, and postoperative defecation were compared between the two groups. Results The Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)scores of the observation group on day 3,day 7,day 10 and day 14 after surgery were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the first defecation time and disappearance time of blood in the stool in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group. The VAS scores for defecation of the observation group on day 3,day 7,day 10 and day 14 after surgery were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).The effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 98.18%.Compared with 89.66%in the control group, there was no significant difference(P>0.05).Conclusion Applying needle-embedding at Erbai(EX-UE2)on the basis of conventional treatment in postoperative treatment of anal fistula can help to alleviate postoperative anal pain and defecation pain.
