Overview of Mechanism and Clinical Application of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Treatment of Cirrhotic Ascites
The development of ascites is a sign that cirrhosis has moved from the compensated to the decompensated phase,and is one of the most significant complications of the decompensated phase of cirrhosis,the pathogenesis of which is not yet fully understood.According to traditional Chinese medicine,the disease is located in liver,spleen and kidney,and the basic pathogene-sis is water retention,Qi stagnation and blood stasis.In recent years,domestic scholars have achieved certain clinical efficacy in the prevention and treatment of ascites in liver cirrhosis,showing unique advantages in reducing abdominal girth,decreasing ab-dominal distension,increasing urine output and improving liver function.Its mechanism of action is mainly focused on reducing portal hypertension,promoting urination,improving the levels of inflammatory mediators,regulating intestinal flora and regulating water channel protein expression.This article reviewed the mechanism of action and clinical application of traditional Chinese medicine in the prevention and treatment of cirrhotic ascites in recent years,with the aim of providing ideas and references for the clinical management of this disease.
