Research Progress on Mechanism of Moxibustion Pretreatment in Preventing and Treating Ischemic Stroke
Ischemic stroke is one of the top three causes of death worldwide and imposes a significant emotional and economic burden on stroke survivors and their families due to its high disability rate.With the trend of"disease medicine"gradually shifting towards"preventive medicine",moxibustion pretreatment,due to its efficacy in warming and dispersing cold and reinforcing the body's vitality,as well as its safety without adverse reactions,has played its advantages in the prevention and treatment of ischemic stroke.Moxibustion pretreatment mainly works on improving oxidative stress,balancing inflammatory response,regulating the auto-phagy and apoptosis of nerve cells,and regulating the expressions of proteins mainly including HSP-70,HO-1 and NOS in the prevention and treatment of ischemic stroke.Based on the mechanisms of moxibustion and various pretreatment intervention mech-anisms,this article identified the possible targets of moxibustion pretreatment and perfected the upstream and downstream key nodes,with the hope of providing reference and help for future research and clinical applications.
