As a new type of green solvent,natural deep eutectic solvent(NADES)has excellent properties such as low cost,easy degradation,simple preparation and good biocompatibility,which is expected to replace the traditional organic solvents for the extraction of active ingredients in traditional Chinese medicine.In this paper,it briefly introduced the composition and physico-chemical properties of NADES,reviewed the recent reports of natural deep eutectic solvents in the extraction of active ingredients in traditional Chinese medicine,and looked forward to the improvement of the recovery technology and wider application of NADES,aiming to provide reference for the application of NADES in the extraction of active ingredients in traditional Chinese medicine.
