Research on the Current Situation of Local Normal College Students Serving Rural Basic Education
Normal students are the reserve force of rural teachers and the key to the revitalization of rural basic education.Fun-damentally,Promoting normal students to serve rural basic education is fundamentally to cultivate the willingness and ability of normal students to serve rural basic education.Based on the sampling data of 337 normal students from local colleges and universi-ties in L city and 167 new teachers from rural schools who have been teaching for 1-2 years,this paper examines the current situa-tion of normal students'willingness and ability to serve rural basic education based on ERG theory and life education theory,and puts forward the strategy of promoting normal students to serve rural basic education.The results showed that the willingness of normal students to serve was weak:they had a low degree of love for the countryside,a short number of years of willingness to teach in the countryside,and a low professional identity of rural teachers.Lack of service capacity:insufficient theoretical knowl-edge reserve in rural areas,and low participation in practical activities.Therefore,from the aspects of satisfying the survival,rela-tionship and growth needs of normal students,the countermeasures and suggestions for improving the willingness and ability of nor-mal students to serve rural basic education are proposed.
