Flotation study on low-grade oxide zinc ore by chelate mixed collector
The zinc oxide ore from Guizhou Province contains 2.32%of Pb and 9.38%of Zn,among which valuable zinc miner-als are mainly sphalerite and xenolite. This mine has a high degree of oxidation and obvious mud formation.During the flotation re-covery process, there are challenges such as sticky slurry, high dosage of flotation reagents, and poor effectiveness. In order to achieve efficient recovery of zinc oxide difficult to select, the raw ores were subjected to desliming and screening, and three schemes of comprehensive sulfurization xanthate, sulfurization amine, and chelating combination agents were tested and com-pared.The results show that Na2S+amyl-xanthate and Na2S+octadecylamine were not effective in the separation of zinc oxide ore.By using the combined collector scheme of Salicylideneamino-2-thiophenol+Cocoanut oil amine,a better index of zinc concen-trate grade of 25.97%and recovery of 75.64%was obtained when their mass ratio was 4:1.By adopting the flotation process of"1 coarse,2 fine, and 2 sweeping",the optimal indicators of zinc grade of 25.97%and recovery rate of 75.64%in the concentrate were obtained, achieving efficient recovery of zinc from refractory zinc oxide ore.
