Highlighting the Value of Space:A New Form of Rural Libraries Under the Background of Rural Revitalization
Rural Library Project is a top-down cultural welfare project that has achieved significant results in pro-moting equalization of urban and rural public cultural services and enhancing the cultural knowledge level of farm-ers.However,the neglect of the space in the early stages of construction has brought some problems for subsequent development of rural libraries.Since the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy,both the academic com-munity and the managers of rural libraries have noticed the value of space,shifting from providing services in li-braries to utilizing rural library space to provide services to farmers.The selection of location,the creation of reading scenes,and the creation of reading space functions for rural libraries have received attention.By collecting and ana-lyzing cases of transformation and upgrading of rural libraries since the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy,this study explores the important value of space in the subsequent development of rural libraries and the in-sights they bring.
