The protection ofwetland resources and wetland ecological process makes great influence on the sustainable development ofthe region and on the improvement of ecosystem .The ecosystem of Dongting Lake has been under great pressure of the economic development and human disturbance ,which has been the key study object of the wet-land ecologists .The article summarizes the current state of the exploitation and utilization of the wetland resource of Dongting Lake ,the ecological function of wetland and the structure of wetland landscape .This article discusses the driving factors of dynamic changes of wetland of Dongting Lake from the aspects of the completion of three gorges and human disturbanceand summarizes the technical method used in the study of the wetlands of Dongting Lake .In the end ,the article proposes the key point and prospect of research on the wetlands of Dongting Lake .
