The selection and establishment techniques of Picea brachytyla var.complanata parent forest in Sujiang State-owned Forest Farm in Tengchong City was carried out in 2002.The stand selection techniques of Picea brachytyla var.complanata parent forest are introduced from the data collection,preliminary selection,inspection,candidate forest survey and so on.The thinning technology of Picea brachytyla var.complanata parent forest is introduced from the meaning of thinning,basis,principle,method,object,interval,step,etc.The management techniques of parent forest are introduced from cutting and weeding,pruning,pest control,protection,monitoring,archives management,etc.The technology of seeding propagation is introduced from seed collection,seed preparation,seed treatment,sowing,seeding management,container seeding management,and so on.The cultivation techniques are introduced from the selection of afforestation,clearing of woodland,preparation of land,settled,tending,and so on.Progeny testing was conducted.The results showed that the tree height,DBH and tree volume of the 23-year-old progeny were increased by 20.9％,21.4％and 69.4％,compared with the control.
