Characteristics of Intercity Travel Network During the May Day Holiday in the Guanzhong Plain Urban Agglomeration
This paper is to explore the spatiotemporal pattern of intercity travel in the Guanzhong Plain Urban Agglomeration.Based on Baidu migration data during the May Day holiday in 2021,this paper explores the intercity travel network pattern of the Guanzhong Plain urban agglomeration in the context of holidays from three levels:urban nodes,intercity connections,and network agglomeration,revealing the temporal and spatial movement patterns of intercity residents.Research has found that during holidays,intercity residents'travel shows a"U"shaped trend,and the intercity travel network has a hierarchical scale.88%of intercity passenger flow is distributed over a travel distance of 200km,forming three cohesive subgroups.The results indicate that:①The intercity travel demand of the Guanzhong Plain urban agglomeration during the May Day holiday has a temporal symmetry,with a spatial distribution characterized by high in the middle and low on both wings.The intercity travel network space forms a development model of"one large and three small"with Xi'an as the center and Baoji,Xianyang,and Weinan as the sub centers;② The intercity passenger flow connection exhibits polarization phenomenon and significant spatial proximity characteristics.The intercity passenger transportation channel is mainly located within Shaanxi Province,with concentrated short distance travel,forming a radiation travel mode centered around Xi'an as a whole;③The intercity travel of the Guanzhong Plain urban agglomeration has strong connections within the province.
