Impact of the Development of Geographical Indication Agricultural Products on the Farmers'Income Growth in Jiangsu Province
Panel data at the municipal level in Jiangsu Province from 2010 to 2021 is used to test the spatial effect of geographical indication agricultural product development on farmers'income through the spatial Durbin model.The results indicate that there is a significant spatial positive correlation and a certain degree of clustering in the income of farmers in Jiangsu Province;The results of the Durbin model show that the development of geographical indication agricultural products will promote the agglomeration of related industries,which is beneficial for increasing the income of local farmers and neighboring farmers due to experience,personnel flow,and other factors;capital investment and government support can also significantly enhance the income increase effect of geographical indication agricultural products.Based on the analysis results,the following suggestions are proposed:① Relying on geographical indications to enhance the economic value of agricultural products,developing cluster industries,and strengthening regional cooperation to form a development synergy;②Expanding the development industry chain of geographical indication agricultural products,promoting deep processing of agricultural products,and enabling farmers to deeply participate and enjoy the fruits of development;③ Innovating marketing methods and focusing on brand management and quality management,establishing a reasonable evaluation and monitoring system,strengthening monitoring and supervision of geographical indication agricultural products,and creating highquality agricultural brands.
