Research on the Market-Oriented Pathways for Territorial Space Ecological Restoration
The ecological protection and restoration in China have been facing difficulties in financing, with rela-tively limited sources of funding and insufficient financial support for ecological industrialization. The market-ori-ented approach is an effective path to achieve a win-win situation in terms of ecological security, economic bene-fits,and social development, whose application in ecological restoration should be further expanded.Through sys-tematically summarizing the typical models of market-oriented pathways for territorial space ecological restora-tion,this study has found that the unclear and unstable profit mechanisms were the major obstacles to the partici-pation of social capital in ecological restoration projects. In recent years, with the support of the central and local governments, various innovative market-oriented models have been explored and implemented, including the cal-culation of Gross Ecosystem Product(GEP),Carbon Trading,Sharing of Land Value Appreciation,Eco-environ-ment-oriented Development(EOD),and Green Financial Support. However, most of these practices were still in the pilot stage and lack scalability, standardization, and normalization. In the future, efforts should be made to im-prove the ecological element property rights system, accelerate the establishment of a standardized value account-ing system, and comprehensively innovate the ecological product trading system to continuously attract market-o-riented investments in ecological restoration. The research findings would provide practical basis for establishing a mechanism to transform the value of ecological products in China and support the establishment and operation of the market system more effectively.
