In view of the problems of insufficient capacity of domestic sewage treatment facilities in a town in Hebei Prov-ince and effluent pollutants not reaching the standard,the original wastewater treatment facilities were transformed,and the designed treatment capacity was 15000m3/d using Carusel oxidation ditch process as the core process of the sewage treat-ment.This paper introduces the process flow and the main design parameters,examines the effect of the combined process on sewage treatment,and analyzes the construction investment and operation cost.The operation results show that the effluent of this process is stable and the water quality improvement effect is obvious.The average removal rate of major pollutant COD,BOD5,SS,TN and TP is 92.1％,93.2％,95％,87.7％and 71.8％.After treatment by Ca-russel oxidation ditch process+MBR process,the main effluent pollutant indexes reach the level A standard of Pollutant Discharge Standard for Urban Sewage Treatment Plant(GB18918-2002).
