Research Progress on the Application of DCS System in Gas Transmission and Distribution Control
The aim of this paper is to explore the application of DCS(Distributed Control System)in gas transmis-sion and distribution control,as well as to analyze its capability to enhance system efficiency and safety through real-time monitoring and control of critical parameters. In this study,a DCS system was employed for real-time monitoring and control of natural gas transmission and distribution networks.By collecting and adjusting key pa-rameters such as pressure, temperature, and flow rate in natural gas pipelines in real-time,the system ensures sta-ble and efficient operation.Additionally, leveraging the powerful data acquisition, processing, and analysis capa-bilities of the DCS system, rapid diagnosis and handling of faults and abnormalities during the transmission and distribution process were facilitated, thereby enhancing troubleshooting efficiency.Furthermore, the DCS system supports networking and remote-control functionalities, enabling centralized supervision and management of natu-ral gas transmission and distribution networks across different geographical locations. Results:Through the imple-mentation of the DCS system, efficient, accurate, and reliable management was achieved in gas transmission and distribution control.Real-time monitoring and adjustment of critical parameters guaranteed system safety and sta-bility.Rapid diagnosis and resolution of faults and abnormalities expedited troubleshooting. The networking and remote-control features allowed for unified supervision and management of natural gas transmission and distri-bution networks across diverse locations, enhancing management effectiveness. The application of DCS systems in gas transmission and distribution control holds significant importance and potential.Real-time monitoring and control of critical parameters can enhance system efficiency and safety. However, challenges such as high costs, technical difficulties, and emergency response issues persist in the application of this system.Therefore,continu-ous technical research and development as well as practical application are required to continuously improve the performance and reliability of DCS systems, better meeting the demands of gas transmission and distribution con-trol.
