Study on the Color Uniforming Method of Antarctic Variable-Exposure Images
Ice Pathfinder Satellite(code:BNU-1)is the first civilian polar optical microsatellite developed by Bei-jing Normal University which gives consideration to both spatial resolution and revisit frequency.Because the surface reflectivity of polar region is high and BNU-1 has low radiation resolution(12bit),the ice image is prone to overexposure. So,the method of artificial shortening exposure time is adopted to obtain effective radiation value in ice image, which will lead to color differences in the image. Therefore, this paper proposes a color uniforming method for variable exposure images. The experimental results show that this method can effectively eliminate the color difference of the image.By comparison, the visual effect of the variable exposure color uniforming method is obviously better than that of the Histogram matching method; The radiation accuracy verification results show that the Goodness of fit of BNU-1 and Landsat8 is 0.9289,and the Goodness of fit of BNU-1 and MODIS is 0.8762,which proves that the radiation accuracy of BNU-1 has been significantly improved.
