Resource Characteristics and Protective Strategies of Ancient and Famous Trees in Guang'an City
In order to further strengthen the management and protection of ancient and famous trees in Guang'an City,this paper Statistically analyzed the characteristics of ancient and famous tree resources in Guang'an.There are 792 ancient and famous trees,The number and proportion of ancient trees under primary,secondary,tertiary protection and famous trees were 7 trees(0.88％),64 trees(8.08％),709 trees(61.78％)and 12 trees(1.52％).There are rich tree species,belonging to 21 families,27 genera and 29 species,with Ficus virens accounting for the majority,followed by Ginkgo biloba,Cupressus funebris,Gleditsia sinensis,Osmanthus fragrans,Cinnamomum camphora,Phoebe nanmu and other tree species.The results showed that,ancient and famous trees are mainly scattered and distributed in Linshui County,Yuechi County,Guang'an District.They are less distributed and con-centrated in Wusheng County,Huaying City,Qianfeng District.In the area below 500 m above sea level,it ac-counts for 91.16％.Above 700 m above sea level,there are tree species such as Cinnamomum camphora,Phoebe nanmu,Castanopsis platyacantha.The chest girth,tree height,and crown width of ancient and famous trees are concentrated in the range of 100～599 cm,10.00～29.99 m,5.00～24.99 m.The ones with the largest chest girth,tree height,and crown width are all Ficus virens.The average age of Cupressus funebris is the highest at 317 years,and the average age of most tree species is less than 200 years.51 ancient trees have poor growth environ-ments,accounting for 6.44％,while 60 ancient trees are endangered or weak in growth,accounting for 7.58％.It analyzes the protection and rejuvenation measures and existing problems of ancient and famous trees,and puts forward specific protection and management strategies and suggestions.
