Comparative Study on Aphid Infestation and Different Management Methods in Populus tomentosa Forests
In order to better maintain the Populus tomentosa in Fengtai area,a statistical analysis was conducted on the aphid infestation of Populus tomentosa based on practical work, and related work was prospected.Using statistical, analytical, and comparative methods, the aphid infestation of Populus tomentosa in the Majiabao Leis-ure Park,Pomegranate Village Park and Fengyi Park of Fengtai area was tracked and analyzed. The three parks were divided into three blocks, and basic data such as aphid leaf density and infection rate of Populus tomentosa aphids were obtained. On this basis, different prevention and control measures are further developed, and the ef-fectiveness of prevention and control is tracked for quantitative comparison. The prevention and control measures adopt two methods:manually introducing high-density natural enemies and first applying insecticides and then manually introducing low-density natural enemies.By observing the control effect,it was found that when the a-phid density is low,the natural balance method of introducing natural enemies can reduce the aphid density to a-bout 38%of the initial level; When the density of aphids is high, the natural balance method of introducing natu-ral enemies has little effect and can reduce it to about 54%of the initial level.Other methods of joint management are needed. When insecticides are used and low-density aphid natural enemies are introduced, the aphid density decreases to around 9%.Therefore,timely and early intervention is needed for the management of aphids in Pop-ulus tomentosa. The use of artificial introduction of aphid natural enemies at low densities can achieve good con-trol and ecological balance effects; When the density of aphids continues to increase, other methods of combined biological control should be used for management.
